I decided spur of the moment to launch my Patreon tonight. Maybe it was the fact that Halloween is here, and the new graphic novel that I’ll be sharing on Patreon takes place in Hell. I’ve heard some Halloween tales have taken place near that locale!
Regardless, I pulled the trigger. This has been a long time coming, and I’m happy to get a kick in the butt to work on this. I originally talked about Patreon and my new book, See You In Hell, earlier this year. And then the realities of being a new father kicked in. But some funny things happened. My latest graphic novel, The Walk, was released in September. And then I did a comic for my friend Ian’s horror anthology. Just 6 pages. But I did it. Three of those pages I worked on and finished over a FaceTime art jam with my friend’s child, who wants to be a cartoonist themself. We talked and drew comics for a few hours, and guys, it was the most fun I had drawing comics in years. Not only that, but I had a pep in my step the whole week. I missed this. I missed creating comics. And I don’t think I realized how much I missed it, how much my mood improves by doing this.
So let’s have some fun. Come join me on Patreon. We’re going to have a good time. I’ll be working on See You In Hell, my demonic workplace comedy. The first two pages are up for free right now!
